We are preparing for an amazing journey. We are setting out to do something I don't think has been done before. Imagine hitting the streets, passing out flyers and witnessing, hoping to draw thousands of people to our local concerts and a huge Holy Hip Hop Crusade. Imagine rappers, ministers, and pastors joining forces to preach the Gospel through the form of the spoken word and the rapped word. Imagine the thrill of being able to take what you've learned and pour it into Youth leaders and youth with the goal of empowering, training, and making disciples. And imagine it being done a few thousand miles overseas in Uganda!

Why Uganda Sean? Isn't there ministry to be done here? These are the questions I hear you asking me. The great commission Jesus gave us was to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). And while we continue our missions ministry locally at colleges, military bases, and detention centers, we been given the opportunity to expand our reach and bless the nation of Africa.

I've been to Africa and South Africa on many occasions but never like this. Most of the ministry I've done in Africa has been church based ministry, but this is so much more. We will connect with the people in their homes, on their streets, in their neighborhoods. And it will be powerful and life changing, not only for the people, but for us as well. The first time I visited Uganda, Africa, my life as a Christian changed. I've never seen a people so spiritually determined in a land that is so physically underdeveloped. I don't know what to expect in Uganda, but I imagine I will come home again with a thirst to know God more than ever before.

With all that being said, we are doing this by faith. We need to raise $7000 by July 24th, 2007 and I am asking for your help. We will take donations as large as $7000 (which will wrap things up pretty quick!) and as little as $5. Not only will this cover all our trip expenses, it will also allow us to distribute our Gospel rap CD's for free! All donations are to be made to Slaughter International, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so your contribution will be tax free. Slaughter International is a program of Congressional District Programs which is an independent public 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. (Tax ID #65-0970090). Consider partnering with us as we play our part to bring the Gospel to those in Uganda who need it. Any additional funds above and beyond will be used for future Slaughter International ministry endeavors.
